Vindhyeśvarīstotram

I adore the Goddess dwelling in the Vindhya mountains, Who killed Śumbha and Niśumbha, Who destroyed the fierce Muṇḍa, and Who lightens up a forest and a battle. I adore the Goddess dwelling in the Vindhya mountains, Who holds a trident and a skull, Who absolves any destruction of the earth, and Who resides inside every home.||1||

I adore the Goddess dwelling in the Vindhya mountains, Who removes poverty and grief, Who is always causes resplendence, and Who removes the grief of separation. I adore the Goddess dwelling in the Vindhya mountains, Who has shining cheeks and eyes, Who is surrounded by creepers, Who bestows boons, and Who holds a skull and a monodent.||2||

I adore the Goddess dwelling in the Vindhya mountains, Who has happiness and a mace in hands, Who is bliss, Who bestows bliss, Who is the best, Who is beautiful, and Who is auspicious. I adore the Goddess dwelling in the Vindhya mountains, Who gave the night to the Lord of monkeys ¹, Who accepts the three qualities to manifest as the world, and Who resides inside the water and outside on land.||3||

I adore the Goddess dwelling in the Vindhya mountains, Who creates the exquisite universe, Who takes on large forms (when necessary), and Who is very large at the belly [keeping universe inside the womb as a mother]. adore the Goddess dwelling in the Vindhya mountains, Who is served by Purandara (Indra) and others, Who destroyed the lineage of Mura and other demons, and Who causes stainless mind.||4||
