Neither I am a doer of a pure sacrifice, nor I am a possessor of the light of knowledge; neither I am the absolver of sorrows of the world, nor I am the protector of the universe; neither I am a beautiful woman, nor I am a cluster of blossom inside a temple; even then, O Rukmini, O Shriya, O Ramaa, O Sudhaa! Protect me.||1||
Neither I am the mellifluous sound of the songs, nor I am a beauty wrapped in red-colored clothes; neither I offer flowers and lamps (to You), nor I am the conqueror of the pride of sorrow; neither I am an enticer, nor I swallow away the defects of fate; even then, O Rukmini, O Shriya, O Ramaa, O Sudhaa! Protect me.||2||
I am not the endower of strength, liberation, devotion, purity, wisdom, deftness (skill), bliss, and wealth. I am not even pacified, and I am the victim of diseases. Even then, O Rukmini, O Shriya, O Ramaa, O Sudhaa! Protect me.||3||
Neither I am a Yogini (a follower of Yoga system) or Ragini (musical notes), nor I am a dweller of the divine worlds; neither I possess the power to eradicate ghostly-groups, nor I am a garland of a group of lotuses; I am not even free of old-age, and I am dulled by inflammation of life; even then, O Rukmini, O Shriya, O Ramaa, O Sudhaa! Protect me.||4||
Neither I can obstruct the prowess of fate, nor I am accompanied by the spiritual powers of chants; neither I can liberate myself from the fate of death, nor I can ornate the heavens (after death); I am not even eternal and I am surprized by the hardships of fate on me. Even then, O Rukmini, O Shriya, O Ramaa, O Sudhaa! Protect me.||5||
I am not a song of devotion or worship or request. I am neither an endower of happiness, nor I am with a smile or fragrance. I don't have the knowledge of fate; I am not even the Moonlight or the light emerging from the Sun; even then, O Rukmini, O Shriya, O Ramaa, O Sudhaa! Protect me.||6||
