Vishnu, who is kind, conferring, and helps the weak, appeared in front of Kaushalya for her immense happiness. On seeing Him, she is pleased beyond limits and the appearance of Lord was enticing to captivate sages, hermits and saints. ||1||
His eyes were beautiful, skin cloud-colored, and He appeared in His four-arm-form holding chakra, mace, lotus and shell. He had a garland of flower at neck, large eyes and he, who slays demons, appeared as an ocean of graciousness. ||2||
Kaushalya became speechless reverring Lord with namaskaar she said that, Lord! How do I sing prayers and hymns right now, when You Yourself are standing in front of me! You are beyond the scope of luxuries, You are superior than all the concepts, Your manifestation is infinitely superior to our entire knowledge, and You have created supreme texts like Ved and Puraan. ||3||
You are merciful, the ocean of satisfaction and happiness, You possess every quality, comprehended or unknown. The Veda and the saints sing Your praises incessantly. Just for my happiness, the bliss of universe has appeared with His splendor in front of me! ||4||
You are the creator of this universe, worldly attachments, knowledge repository like The Veda. How will people believe that the Superlative entity is residing inside this simple human (myself)? They will not believe or accept it! ||5||
Vishnu smiled since Kaushalya was overwhelmed and explained (in many ways) about His incarnation. He told a story and convinced her that just shower love and treat me as you would care for your baby. ||6||
When she learnt what God wanted, she replied that, Lord! Please leave this mysterious and grand appearance, and incarnate as a baby which would bring happiness, satisfaction, and smile into my life. ||7||
God listened these polite words, incarnated as a baby, and started crying. Those who sing this hymn, are dear to Him, and attain salvation easily. ||8||
