Eulogy on Lord Vaman

O You, Who is the Lord of demi-gods, Who is the One at the peak, Who is mightier than the Sun, Who is mightier than the Ocean, Who is known as Vrisakapi, Who is mightier than the demi-gods, Who is born out of Himself, Who is Rudra, Who is Kapila, Who is energetic on all sides, Who is the controller of all living beings, Who is true, Who is Dharma, Who is Adharma, Who is Vaikuntha, Who is known as Vrisavartta, Who destroys the middle of One without beginning, Who is known as Dhananjaya, Who is renowned resplendent, Who has variegated splendor, Who is self-glorious, Who is lying on ambrosia nectar, Who is eternally true, Who manifests as the three abodes, Who is Vishnu, Who is the fundamental particle, Who is the Lord of the world, Who has a lotus at the navel, Who created everything, Who manifests in many forms, Who is indestructible and unharmed, Who has oblations in hand, Who destroys with His Parasu (axe), Who is Indra, Who incarnated as a Swan, Who is very pleasing, Who is known as Hrisikesa, Who is the smallest element, Who holds all the principles, Who is pure (without dust), Who is respected in the world, Who is without qualities, Who is foremost, Who gave birth to Dharma, Who is the center of Dharma, Who is the center of light, Who is the center of Indra, Who is the bearer of moon, Who is the splendor of sun, Who resides in the ocean, Who is unborn, Who has thousand heads, Who has thousand feet, Who is looking down, Who is a great entity, Who is the best entity, Who has thousand hands, Who has thousand manifestations! Regards to You.||1||

O Vishnu, Who has flowery smile, Who is the best! You are known as Vausat and Vasatkara. My regards to You. You are the foremost and You eat oblations put in a sacrifice. You are the four phrases, viz., sahasradhara, bhuh, bhuvah, svah. O Vishnu, Who is established by the Veda, Who is the meaning of the word Brahman, Who is dear to Brahman! You are the sky, You are the wind, You are the Dharma, You are the offerer, the purifier, the counsellor, and the leader of any oblation ceremony. You are Yourself the oblation also! You are the foremost among the members of world and You are the house of all directions. You are worthy of praises, You are wise, You are the oblation firewood, You are wisdom, journey, and You are the donor.||2||

You are Moksha and Yoga.||3|| You create everything.||4||

You nurture everything, You are the final oblation ceremony, You are Soma, You are consecrated, You are the acknowledgement of ceremony, and You are the world.||5||

O Vishnu, Who is venerable, Who has a golden navel, Who is Narayana, Who has three-eyes, Who has the color of the Sun, Who is resplendent like the Sun, Who is the best entity, Who is the first Lord, Who moves in good stride, Who is the abode of light, Who is Shambhu (Siva), Who is Svayambhu, Who manifests as living world, Who manifests as the elements, Who is the manifestation of the world! You are the whole world and its protector. You are pure. O Vishnu, Who gives birth to the universe, Who does the highest deeds, Who is beyond death, Who rules the day and tongue, Who is the flame of ghee, Who has infinite deeds, Who is lineage, Who is beyond lineage! You protect the whole world.||6||

You give boons to those who seek it. Salutations for You, the Hotratman, Who is oblated using a mantra made up of four, four, two, five, and two syllables¹.||7||
