Aṭṭālasundarāṣṭakam

I betake myself to Śiva, Who is the foremost tower of beauty, Who has an eyebrow like auspicious mountain,1 Who is adorned by a pleasing arm-stick (dordaṇḍa), and Who created the world from His mouth.[1] I betake myself to Śiva, Who is the foremost tower of beauty, Whose shoulders unpopularized the shining-network of poison Kālakūṭa, Who possesses artistry, and Who is the supreme artist.[2]

I betake myself to Śiva, Who is the foremost tower of beauty, Who destroys Kāla (time), Who is beyond artistry, Who possesses artistry, Who is quality-less, and Who is eulogized by the consort of Kamalā (Viṣṇu).[3] I betake myself to Śiva, Who is the foremost tower of beauty, Whose half-body belongs to His beloved, Whose body is beautiful, Who is the nectar-ocean of compassion, and Who destroys the malice of Kaliyuga.[4]

I betake myself to Śiva, Who is the foremost tower of beauty, Who rules over Kadamba forests, Who is a Kalpa-tree for desired wishes, Who rules over Kāmadeva, and Who is Īśāna.[5] By Whose Māyā these various universes have been created, protected, and destroyed, I betake myself to that Śiva, Who is the foremost tower of beauty.[6]

I betake myself to Śiva, Who is the foremost tower of beauty, Who is eager to destroy the trouble due to reprise and sins within His devotees, and Who is the reason behind all the worlds.[7] I betake myself to Śiva, Who is the foremost tower of beauty, Who is the Kuladevatā of the lineage of Kulaśekhara, Who is complete, and Who is bliss of the mind.[8]

Always read these eight-cantos of the foremost warrior Śrīśambhu, which is best and which bestows desires. Extend your supreme wealth.[9]
